The business moved to Kloof, Durban, where the range expanded into Human Care and Animal Care.

BEFORE QUANTUM.SILVER®
A background in real-world care.
Long before Quantum.Silver®, Dr Thomas Volker worked alongside livestock farmers across South Africa, consulting on herd health and nutrition while operating a feed mill producing specialty animal feeds.
His experience working directly with farmers gave him a practical understanding of the challenges people face when looking for effective, accessible solutions.
Tthat experience shaped the practical, real-world approach that would later become central to Quantum.Silver®.
2018 — THE TURNING POINT
It started with a new possibility.
In 2018, two friends from a neighbouring town introduced Thomas to a unique silver-based raw material. They believed it had potential, but were uncertain how it could be used.
Intrigued by the possibilities, Thomas and Monika began researching the technology together, spending hundreds of hours studying the available scientific literature and exploring the potential applications of nanosilver.
What began as curiosity developed into a serious journey of research, testing and formulation.
FROM RESEARCH TO REALITY
The first batch was made at home.
After months of research, testing and development, the first batch of Quantum.Silver® was produced in the Volkers' home in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal.
Friends and family began using the product and sharing their experiences. Thomas also began using Quantum.Silver® in his own piggery operations.
These early experiences gave the team the confidence to take the next step — producing Quantum.Silver® commercially.
